One helmet, three jobs: head, face and hearing, adjustable from 52 to 62 cm.

An industrial safety helmet with removable earmuffs removable, supplied with the helmet, a plastic visor and a mesh visor, at 1.2 kg.

An industrial safety helmet that carries a face shield and hearing protection on the same harness, so all three go on and come off together.

Both visors are supplied: a mesh visor for chippings and a plastic visor where a solid screen is wanted.

The earmuffs are removable and are removable, supplied with the helmet.

A dial at the back adjusts the headband from 52 to 62 cm, and the whole assembly weighs 1.2 kg.

The reason a combination helmet exists is compliance in practice rather than on paper. Separate muffs and a separate visor get left in the van; a single assembly goes on with the helmet.

Hard Hat Face Shield

The two visors are for two different hazards. A mesh visor sheds chippings and does not fog, which is why forestry work uses it. A plastic visor gives a solid screen where splash matters more than ventilation.

the earmuff attenuation figure is the maker's figure for the muffs. It is a rating for the protector, not a promise about your workplace: the reduction you get depends on the fit, on the noise level and on how long the muffs stay on.

The dial adjustment from 52 to 62 cm covers most adults, and a helmet that is not adjusted firmly is a helmet that shifts when you look up.

If the marking does not cover your hazard, this is not the right item.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Hard Hat Face Shield?

A Hard Hat Face Shield is a protective equipment used in industrial settings to provide protection to the face and eyes while wearing a hard hat or safety helmet. It is designed to shield the wearer from impact, debris, and harmful substances.

Why is a Hard Hat Face Shield important?

A Hard Hat Face Shield is important because it adds an extra layer of protection to a standard hard hat or safety helmet, ensuring the safety of the wearer's face and eyes in hazardous work environments.

What are the common features of an Industrial Safety Helmet?

Common features of an Industrial Safety Helmet include a durable outer shell made of high-impact-resistant materials, adjustable headbands for a secure fit, and optional accessories like face shields and hearing protection attachments.

Can a Safety Helmet with Hearing Protection protect against loud noises?

Yes, a Safety Helmet with Hearing Protection is designed to protect the wearer's ears from loud noises and potential hearing damage. It usually comes with built-in or detachable earmuffs or earplugs.

How can I choose the right Hard Hat Face Shield for my work environment?

To choose the right Hard Hat Face Shield for your work environment, consider the specific hazards present in your workplace, such as flying debris, chemicals, or intense sunlight. Select a face shield that meets relevant safety standards and provides the necessary protection.

Are Industrial Safety Helmets suitable for construction sites and manufacturing plants?

Yes, Industrial Safety Helmets are highly suitable for construction sites and manufacturing plants where workers are exposed to potential head injuries from falling objects, impacts, or other hazards.

Can a Safety Helmet with Hearing Protection be adjusted for a comfortable fit?

Yes, most Safety Helmets with Hearing Protection come with adjustable headbands and earmuffs, allowing for a comfortable and customized fit for different individuals.

Can I replace the face shield on a Hard Hat Face Shield if it becomes damaged?

Yes, if the face shield on a Hard Hat Face Shield becomes damaged, you can often replace it with a new one. Many face shields are designed to be detachable and replaceable for ease of maintenance.

What comes with the helmet?

A mesh visor, a plastic visor and removable earmuffs, all on the same harness.

What head sizes does it fit?

52 to 62 cm, set with the dial at the back of the headband.

How much noise do the muffs cut?

the earmuff attenuation figure, as stated by the maker. The reduction you actually get depends on the fit and on how long they stay on.

Can I take the earmuffs off?

Yes. The muffs are removable, and so are both visors.

Which visor should I use?

Mesh sheds chippings and does not fog, which suits cutting work. Plastic gives a solid screen where splash matters more.

How heavy is it?

1.2 kg for the whole assembly.

What work is it made for?

The maker names chainsaw, brush cutter and trimmer work, which is where all three protections are wanted at once.

When should I replace it?

After any impact, even if it looks fine, and at the replacement interval the maker prints inside the shell. Check the shell and harness for cracks and crazing before every use.

Does it replace a risk assessment?

No. The hazard decides what protection is needed and to which standard.

What is the product size?

30.5cm x 23cm x 16.5cm.

Choosing head, face and hearing protection that gets worn

3 min read Industry Tools Company Australia

The best protective equipment is the equipment that is actually on when the noise starts. That is a comfort and convenience question as much as a specification one.

Start with the hazard rather than the product. Falling objects, flying chippings, splash and noise are four different problems, and a combination helmet is worth buying when you have several of them at once.

Read the marking on the product itself. A description in a listing, including this one, is not a substitute for your own assessment.

Fit is what decides whether hearing protection works. A muff rated in a laboratory and worn over a hood, over glasses arms, or on a loose headband delivers a fraction of its rating. Adjust the band until the cups seal all the way round, and check it again after twenty minutes.

Mesh or plastic depends on the job. Mesh does not fog and sheds chippings, and it is what forestry work uses. Plastic gives a solid screen against splash. Neither is eye protection on its own if you are working with chemicals or fine particles.

Replace after an impact. A shell absorbs energy by deforming, and a shell that has done that once has already done its job, whether or not you can see it. Helmets also age: the maker prints a date inside.

Store it out of direct sunlight. UV embrittles a shell over a season, and a brittle shell cracks instead of absorbing.

Not sure which tool is right for the job?

Ask before you order and we will tell you honestly what the manufacturer states. Free delivery across Australia on orders over $100. What we will not do is tell you a piece of protective equipment suits your hazard: that is your own assessment and the certification marked on the product.
