About this product
A 133 cm handle and a forked head, so a pallet comes apart in boards rather than in splinters.
Steel, four pieces, a 10.16 cm rubber grip and a 10.16 cm forking gap that spreads the lift across the board instead of one nail.
A long-handled steel breaker that lifts pallet boards off the stringers without a crowbar and a hammer.
The head has a 10.16 cm gap, so the pressure lands across the board rather than at one nail, which is what stops the timber cracking.
The handle is 133 cm with a 10.16 cm rubber grip, which is the leverage that makes the job about weight rather than about effort.
It assembles in a few steps from four pieces and comes apart again for storage.
Taking a pallet apart with a crowbar splits boards. The bar puts all the force at one nail, the timber gives before the nail does, and you end up with firewood rather than boards.
A forked head with a 10.16 cm gap works the other way round. The load spreads across the width of the board, both nails lift together, and the board comes off whole.
The 133 cm handle is the other half. It puts your body weight behind the lift and keeps you upright, which is the difference between doing one pallet and doing twenty.
It is not only for pallets. Decking, dock boards and any nailed softwood structure comes apart the same way, which is what most people end up using it for after the first job.
Four pieces, two screws, nuts, bolts and a push pin, and it comes apart again. In a van or a small shed that matters more than it sounds.

A Pallet Buster, also known as a Pallets Disassembling Tool or Pallet Breaker, is a specialized tool designed to dismantle wooden pallets efficiently. It helps separate the wooden planks without causing damage, making pallet recycling and repurposing easier.
Why is a Pallet Buster important for pallet disassembly?
A Pallet Buster is essential for pallet disassembly as it allows users to save time and effort when breaking down pallets, preserving the integrity of the wood for reuse or recycling purposes.
What are the common types of Pallet Breakers available in the market?
Common types of Pallet Breakers include pry bar-style busters, slide hammer-style busters, and adjustable tine busters. Each type offers unique features for various pallet disassembly needs.
Can a Pallets Disassembling Tool be used for other demolition tasks?
While primarily designed for pallet disassembly, a Pallets Disassembling Tool can be used for light demolition tasks involving wooden structures or small assemblies.
How can I choose the right Pallet Buster for my pallet dismantling projects?
To choose the right Pallet Buster, consider the type and size of pallets you'll be working with, the design and features of the tool, and its overall durability for prolonged use.
Is a Pallet Breaker suitable for professional construction or renovation projects?
While Pallet Breakers are not intended for heavy construction tasks, they can be useful for certain renovation projects where wooden materials need to be carefully removed or salvaged.
Can a Pallet Buster handle pallets with damaged or stuck nails?
Yes, a well-designed Pallet Buster can handle pallets with damaged or stuck nails by providing the leverage and force necessary to dislodge the planks without excessive force.
Are Pallet Disassembling Tools adjustable for different pallet sizes?
Some Pallet Disassembling Tools come with adjustable tines or claws that can accommodate various pallet sizes, making them versatile for different projects.

How long is the handle?
133 cm, with a 10.16 cm rubber grip.
What is the forking gap?
10.16 cm, which is what spreads the lift across the board instead of concentrating it on one nail.
Does it come assembled?
It arrives as four pieces and goes together in a few steps with the screws, nuts, bolts and push pin supplied.
Can I take it apart for storage?
Yes. The collapsible design is meant to come apart after use.
How heavy is it?
7 lb 4 oz, as the maker states it.
Will it work on decking?
Yes. Decking and dock boards come apart the same way as pallet boards.
Do I still need a crowbar?
Not for lifting boards. A claw hammer or a nail puller is still useful for the nails left in the stringer.
Will it split the wood?
Less than a bar will, because the lift is spread. Old, dry or knotted timber can still split, whatever tool is used.

The complete guide
Taking a pallet apart without turning it into firewood

The reason reclaimed pallet timber usually looks bad is not the timber. It is how it came off.
A crowbar loads one nail at a time. The board flexes, the fibres let go around the nail head, and you get a split end and a hole. Do that on both ends of every board and you are left with short pieces.
A forked breaker loads the whole width at once. Both nails at that end lift together, the board stays flat, and it comes off with its ends intact.
Work one end at a time and work along the stringer. Set the fork so both nails are inside the gap, take the handle down in one steady movement rather than jerking it, and let the leverage do it. If a board will not give, move the fork rather than adding force.
Pull the nails as you go. A pile of boards with nails still in them is a hazard and it is also harder to stack. A nail puller or a claw hammer finishes what the breaker starts.
Old pallets can be treated. Look for the IPPC stamp: HT is heat treated, and MB is methyl bromide, which is not something to bring indoors or burn.
Wear gloves and eye protection. Nails come out at speed sometimes, and pallet timber is rarely splinter free.
Ask before you order and we will tell you honestly what the manufacturer states. Free delivery across Australia on orders over $100. What we will not do is tell you a piece of protective equipment suits your hazard: that is your own assessment and the certification marked on the product.
