About this product
A green 360 degree beam on a 12V battery platform, with a magnetic bracket and full-time pulse mode.
Class 2 laser at 1.50 mW or less, IP65 rated, with a locking pendulum, a 1/4 inch and 5/8 inch threaded magnetic bracket and 3.74 kg of tool.
A 360 degree laser level with a green beam, running on a 12V MAX lithium ion power tool battery platform.
The bracket is integrated and magnetic, with both a 1/4 inch and a 5/8 inch thread, so it mounts to steel or to a tripod.
Full-time pulse mode lets it work with a detector without dropping brightness, which is what extends its useful range outdoors.
The housing is overmoulded and IP65 rated for debris and water, and the pendulum locks for transport.
Green is the reason to buy this over a red one. The human eye is far more sensitive to green at the same power, so the same class of laser is easier to see, which is what decides whether you can work off the line or have to chase it with a detector.
Full-time pulse mode is the outdoor half. In pulse mode a detector can find the beam at ranges where the eye cannot, and keeping the beam at full brightness while it pulses means you get both.
The magnetic bracket with both thread sizes is what makes it quick on steel framing and still tripod-compatible. Note that a tripod is not included.
IP65 and an overmoulded housing say what the tool is expected to survive: dust, splash and being knocked. The locking pendulum is the other half of that, because the pendulum is the delicate part and locking it is what protects it in transit.
Class 2 at 1.50 mW or less is the safety classification. Class 2 relies on the blink reflex, which means it is not safe to stare into deliberately and it is not something to point at anyone's eyes, but an accidental glance is not the hazard a higher class would be.
The store's listing names DEWALT as the maker of this unit. That is the store's own statement, carried across; it is not asserted in this site's structured data.

Working accurately with a 360 degree laser level
3 min readIndustry Tools Company Australia
A laser level is only as level as its set-up. The tool self-levels within its range; it does not fix a base that moves.
Set it where it is not going to be knocked. A tripod leg in a walkway, or a magnetic bracket on a member somebody is about to hit, will move the reference without announcing it. Re-check the line against a known mark every so often, and always after a bump.
Give the pendulum time. Self-levelling takes a few seconds, and reading the line before it has settled is a common mistake. Some tools flash to say they are outside their levelling range: that is a warning, not a fault.
Green over red matters outdoors and at distance. The eye is more sensitive to green, so the same power reads as brighter. In full sun even green loses, and that is what pulse mode and a detector are for.
Use the detector properly. In full-time pulse the beam can be found well beyond visible range, and the detector rather than your eye is what should be setting marks at that distance.
Mind the mounting surface. A magnetic bracket on painted or rusty steel can creep. Clean the spot, and check the tool is actually held before letting go of it.
Lock the pendulum before it goes in the van. That single habit is the difference between a level that stays calibrated and one that quietly does not.
Verify calibration now and then. Set the tool up, mark a point at each end of a long run, rotate the tool 180 degrees, and check the marks still agree. A tool that has been dropped will tell you here.
Ask before you order and we will tell you honestly what the manufacturer states. Free delivery across Australia on orders over $100. What we will not do is tell you a piece of protective equipment suits your hazard: that is your own assessment and the certification marked on the product.
