Clean the facepiece after each use and dry it fully before storing. Replace filters when breathing becomes harder, when they are damaged, or at the maker's stated interval.

Dual Particulate FiltersDual filtration, four layers per cartridge
Silicone FacepieceSoft, comfortable and durable for repeat use
Kit SuppliedTwo filter boxes, two caps and eight cotton filters
Glasses And PlugsSafety glasses and two earplugs in the box

A silicone half mask with particulate filters, glasses and earplugs in the same box.

Dual filtration with four filter layers, universal size, supplied with two filter boxes, two caps, eight cotton filters, safety glasses and earplugs.

A reusable half facepiece respirator with a dual filtration system with particulate filters.

Each cartridge has four layers: a non-woven PP outer, a low-resistance dust cotton, a high-electrostatic filter cotton and the filter layer itself.

The facepiece is silicone, which is what makes it comfortable enough to wear through a session and durable enough to clean and reuse.

It arrives as a kit: face cover, safety glasses, two earplugs, two filter boxes, two caps and eight cotton filters.

Reusable Half Facepiece Mask

A half mask is the middle of the respiratory range: more protection and far more comfort than a disposable, less than a full face or a powered hood.

Reusable Half Facepiece Mask

The filters supplied with this mask are particulate filters. They are aimed at dust, mists and fumes rather than at gases and vapours, whatever the word gas in the common name suggests.

Reusable Half Facepiece Mask

The four-layer cartridge is how the class is reached: the outer layers stop the coarse material so the fine filter layer is not blinded in the first hour, which is what makes a cartridge last.

Silicone is chosen over rubber for the seal. It stays soft, it cleans easily, and a facepiece that is comfortable is a facepiece that stays on rather than being pulled down between cuts.

The maker names cement plants, ceramics, stone and wood processing, metal smelting, interior work and spray and powder work as the settings for it.

Two things this listing does not do. It does not tell you which respirator your work requires: that comes from your own assessment of the substance and its exposure limit. And it does not fit-test the mask for you. A half mask only performs to its class if it seals to your face, which is why fit testing exists and why facial hair at the seal defeats it.

Not sure yet? That is fine.

You can change your mind. Under the Australian Consumer Law's consumer guarantees you have 14 days from delivery to cancel for any reason, and a further 14 days to send it back in resaleable condition. We refund the price you paid, including standard delivery.

If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. The Australian Consumer Law covers you, we pay the return postage, and you can have a repair, a replacement or your money back. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Reusable Half Facepiece Mask?

A Reusable Half Facepiece Mask is a type of respiratory protective equipment designed to cover the nose and mouth to filter out airborne particles and harmful gases. It is called "reusable" because it can be cleaned and used multiple times.

Why is a Reusable Half Facepiece Mask important?

A Reusable Half Facepiece Mask is important because it helps protect the wearer's respiratory system from inhaling hazardous particles, dust, fumes, and certain gases, especially in environments with potential respiratory hazards.

What are the common features of a Respirator Gas Mask?

Common features of a Respirator Gas Mask include a comfortable half-face design, adjustable straps for a secure fit, replaceable filters or cartridges, and a valve or exhalation port for easy breathing.

Can a Half Face Piece Respirator be used in various industrial applications?

Yes, a Half Face Piece Respirator can be used in various industrial applications, such as construction, painting, welding, agriculture, and manufacturing, where workers may be exposed to harmful airborne substances.

How can I choose the right Reusable Half Facepiece Mask for my needs?

To choose the right Reusable Half Facepiece Mask, consider the type of respiratory hazards present in your work environment, the level of protection required, the size and fit that ensures a proper seal, and the type of filters or cartridges needed for your specific application.

How often should I replace the filters on a Reusable Half Facepiece Mask?

The frequency of filter replacement on a Reusable Half Facepiece Mask depends on the manufacturer's guidelines, the level of usage, and the exposure to contaminants. Typically, filters need replacement after a specific period or when they become clogged or damaged.

Can I wear a Respirator Gas Mask with facial hair?

While a Respirator Gas Mask can be worn with some facial hair, a clean-shaven face often provides a better and more secure seal between the mask and the skin, ensuring proper protection.

Can a Half Face Piece Respirator be used in medical or healthcare settings?

Half Face Piece Respirators with the proper filters can be used in certain medical or healthcare settings, particularly when dealing with airborne hazards, infections, or other respiratory risks.

Can I clean and disinfect a Reusable Half Facepiece Mask?

Yes, Reusable Half Facepiece Masks can be cleaned and disinfected following the manufacturer's instructions. Proper cleaning and maintenance help extend the lifespan of the mask and ensure its effectiveness.

What filter class is it?

Particulate filters, for dust, mists and fumes.

Does it protect against gases and vapours?

The filters supplied are particulate filters, so they are not intended for gases or vapours. Check the substance and its exposure limit before choosing.

What is in the box?

A face cover, safety glasses, two earplugs, two filter boxes, two caps and eight cotton filters.

How many filter layers are there?

Four: a PP non-woven outer, a low-resistance dust-proof cotton, a high-electrostatic filter cotton, and the filter layer.

What is the facepiece made of?

Silicone, which is soft, comfortable and durable enough to clean and reuse.

When should I change the filters?

When breathing through them becomes noticeably harder, when they are damaged or wet, or at the interval the maker states, whichever comes first.

Does facial hair matter?

Yes. A half mask works by sealing against skin, so stubble or a beard at the seal line lets contaminated air past and the filter class no longer applies.

Do I need a fit test?

For tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment used at work in Australia, yes. Fit testing is what shows the mask seals on the person wearing it.

What work is it made for?

The maker names cement plants, ceramics, stone and wood processing, metal smelting, interior work, and spray and powder work.

How much is delivery?

How do I know my order has been sent?

It is marked complete on our side and you get the confirmation email with the tracking number. Items in one order can travel separately.

Do you have a shop I can visit?

No. We sell online only, with no physical shop or premises, which is how the price stays where it is.

That is a separate and stronger right under the Australian Consumer Law. You can ask for a repair, a replacement or a refund, and we pay the return postage.

Who pays return postage if I simply change my mind?

You do, unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong thing.

Choosing and fitting a half mask respirator

4 min read Industry Tools Company Australia

A respirator is the only piece of protective equipment that fails silently. A helmet that is wrong is obvious; a mask that is not sealing feels exactly like one that is.

Start with the substance, not the mask. What is in the air, and what is its exposure limit? Wood dust, silica, weld fume, solvent vapour and isocyanates are five different problems, and the filter class follows from which one you have.

The filters supplied here are particulate. They are for dust, mists and fumes. They are not a vapour cartridge, and the word gas in a product's common name does not change that. What a given filter is rated for is printed on the filter by its maker.

Then the fit. A tight-fitting mask protects to its class only when it seals against skin all the way round. Stubble defeats it. So does a strap over a hood, a mask worn on top of glasses arms, and a facepiece that is the wrong shape for a face.

Check the seal every time you put it on. Cover the filters, breathe in gently, and the facepiece should pull in and hold. If air comes in, the seal is not made and no filter is helping.

At work in Australia, tight-fitting RPE has to be fit tested for the individual wearer, and that is a legal expectation rather than good practice.

Change filters on the honest signal, which is resistance. When breathing through the mask takes noticeably more effort, the filter is loading up. Damaged or wet filters are changed immediately.

Clean and dry the facepiece after use, and store it in a sealed bag rather than on a hook in the workshop. A mask stored in the same air it was protecting you from starts the next day already loaded.
